Oversee all religious activates and daily tasks during the month of Ramadan.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"4\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provide Quran and Hadith studies, Seerah and Fiqh lessons, and other Islamic topics to increase knowledge and provide for spiritual growth of community members.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"5\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Conduct oneself in a dignified manner commensurate with the teachings of Islam.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"6\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provide support to the development of Islamic education needs at the centre.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"7\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provide support to the development of responses for the Muslim community in the immediate surrounding areas to the centre; Muslim and Non-Muslim in a manner that reflects positively on Islam and the Mosque.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"8\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To be proactive in creating links with other local organisations within the Lothians area.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"9\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To produce and deliver Islamic and educational events that will stimulate discussion on a wide range of contemporary issues facing the community.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"10\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To keep clear and accurate records of Madrassah (teaching) services as required.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"11\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Work with the board of trustee to recruit and sustain volunteers support for the centre. Where needed;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Working with other Imams, have a role to recruit and train volunteers.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Supervise volunteers and ensure adequate roles are established for all volunteers.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"12\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Support the board of trustee in pursuit of fundraising campaigns.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"13\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provide consultation to the board of trustee and the volunteers on Religious matters, Education service, community issues and madrassa activities as requested.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"14\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To adhere to our Trust&#8217;s policies and procedures.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"15\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To undertake such other duties identified by the board of trustee which are commensurate with the post holders salary, aptitude and ability.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key aspects of pastoral work:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Spiritual care: Addressing individuals&#8217; spiritual needs through prayer, Qur\u2019an study, and theological discussions.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"2\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Emotional support: Providing a safe space for people to share their concerns and feelings, offering empathy and encouragement.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"3\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Community building: Fostering connections within a congregation through events, activities, and outreach programs.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"4\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Crisis intervention: Responding to immediate needs during difficult situations like illness, loss, or personal crisis.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"5\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Life transitions: Providing guidance and support during significant life events like marriage, childbirth, or retirement.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"6\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Leading the congregation in the 5 daily prayers, 6 days a week.
